Jared began his journey of working with the developmentally disabled population in 1998. He began his career working with Dr. Ivar Lovaas while studying psychology as an undergraduate at UCLA. He graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2006, he graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Master’s degree in Psychology- specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis. Jared completed his graduate thesis researching food acceptance in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Throughout his career in ABA Jared has worked alongside and been mentored by several amazing people, including Dr. Ivar Lovaas, Dr. Ali Sadeghi, Dr. Leili Zarbakhsh, and Dr. Ellie Kazemi, to name a few. These pioneers in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis inspired him to give back and mentor the next generation. Jared has provided behavioral health therapy in a variety of settings including the home, clinic, school, and a developmental center with a diverse array of individuals. He has experience in treating various challenging behaviors with youth, teens, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, and Emotional Disturbance. In addition, Jared continues to inspire future generations of behavior analysts, as a professor for National University teaching graduate-level courses in Applied Behavior Analysis. |
