Maralina has always had a strong desire to help others. In her youth she participated in several volunteering events geared towards helping children in the foster care system. During her undergraduate studies she became fascinated with behavior change. In 2012, Maralina received her bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Sociology. Shortly after she accepted a position as a behavior therapist. She instantly fell in love with Applied Behavior Analysis and her work with the autism population. In 2015, Maralina earned her Master’s degree specializing in ABA and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Maralina loves the work she does with her clients. She believes, each interaction with a client is not only an opportunity for her to teach them, but for her to grow as well. She has been fortunate enough to have several mentors and BCBA’s who have inspired her, including Dr. Ali Sadeghi, Dr. Zarbakhsh, Kelly Devine, BCBA and Gabriella Barrientos, BCBA. In her spare time, she enjoys running, yoga, and baking for her friends, family, and beautiful daughter Torri. |
